Abstract :<\/p>\n

This speci\ufb01cation provides standards for producing structural welds used in the manufacture and repair of earthmoving,construction, and agricultural equipment. Such equipment is de\ufb01ned as self-propelled, on- and off-highway machineryand associated implements. Manufacturer\u2019s responsibilities are presented as they relate to the welding practices that havebeen proven successful within the industry in the production of weldments on this equipment. Basic dimensional welddetails are de\ufb01ned and interpreted for application throughout the document. Provisions are made to identify base metalsused in these weldments. Procedures to ensure that they are welded with compatible, identi\ufb01able welding processes andconsumables are included with consideration given to factors that affect weldability.<\/p>\n
